Born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Carlos joined the European Climate Foundation after graduating with his MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid. His internship was with the International Trade Centre in Geneva. Prior to that Carlos spent five years in the Spanish Foreign Service working as an international trade expert with Embassies in Angola and in Saudi Arabia, as well as serving in the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade. Carlos also holds a Masters in International Trade from the Centro de Estudios Economicos y Comerciales in Madrid, and a BBA from the University of Navarre. In addition, Carlos has volunteered in projects planting trees and cleaning beaches after oil spills. Carlos views joining the European Climate Foundation as a great opportunity to further contribute to global challenges such as environment and sustainability. Personal interests of his include travelling, scuba diving and movies, and he speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
