Charlotte Pera joined the ClimateWorks Foundation as President and CEO in 2012. Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Ms Pera served as the Senior Vice President and Director of US Programs at the Energy Foundation, and before that directed the Energy Foundation’s US Transportation Program. Ms Pera helped launch the Energy Foundation’s Transportation Program in China, and served as a special advisor during the founding of the European Climate Foundation (ECF).
Before her time with the Energy Foundation, Ms Pera worked at engineering consulting firm Acurex Environmental from 1991 to 1999, where she analysed advanced vehicle technologies, developed new emissions inventory models for marine vessels and non-road equipment, and designed innovative public programmes to reduce vehicle pollution. Ms Pera sits on the ECF Supervisory Board, as well as the board of the International Council for Clean Transportation (ICCT). Ms Pera holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
