Christian Teriete is part of the ECF’s Strategic Communications unit, he is working as the Network Director to coordinate the activities of an international team of communications specialists.
Prior to joining the ECF in 2016, Christian was based in London, working as the Communications Director of the Global Call for Climate Action (GCCA) – a network of more than 450 NGOs from all around the world.
Before joining the GCCA in 2010, Christian spent seven years working for WWF in Frankfurt, Berlin and Hong Kong. From 2004 to 2006, he managed communications for the global PowerSwitch campaign; and from 2007 and 2010, he coordinated WWF’s climate and energy campaigns in the Asia-Pacific region.
Christian studied communications, literature, politics and journalism in Hamburg and Dublin, and he was a fellow of the German National Academic Foundation. He also holds a Public Relations degree from the German Academy for Public Relations.
