Macroeconomic Impacts of the Low Carbon Transition

A new report by EY (Ernst&Young) compares Europe’s macroeconomic prospects under decarbonisation with those under business as usual. Synthesising evidence from the European Commission and other experts, “Macroeconomic Impacts of the Low Carbon Transition” seeks to provide EU policy-makers with a well-structured fact base to draw on, and concludes that decarbonisation will be a powerful tool both to reduce Europe’s import dependency and to drive its economic recovery.
