Marc Adam joined the ECF in 2019 as an assistant to the New Paradigm Platform.
Marc is a PhD candidate in Economics at Freie Universität Berlin and holds master’s degrees from the University of Warwick and Lund University. Before pursuing his PhD, Marc lived in Colombia where he worked as a researcher in agricultural development.
His current research focuses on collapse of world trade during the interwar period, the macroeconomics of the Great Depression in Germany and the early history of the Federal Reserve System.
Outside work, Marc takes an active part in the Young Scholars Initiative (INET), where he coordinates the Economic History Working Group. He is determined to shift the economic paradigm towards an active and solution-based approach to tackle climate change, social inequality and financial instability.
During leisure time he enjoys sailing on Wannsee and playing football for FSV Hansa 07.
