Majd Al Maamoun

Having graduated from the Computer Science department at the University of Hertfordshire, Majd is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the ECF’s IT front-end tools.

Beyond his commitment to the ECF’s IT infrastructure, Majd is equally dedicated to environmental sustainability and a healthier future for our planet. He believes that a key to happiness lies in a healthy lifestyle, intricately connected to the well-being of our planet. For Majd, fighting together with the rest of the ECF community for such a noble cause is a great honour.

With a passion for sports, cycling, running and playing football are his favourite hobbies. He also has a deep interest in nature adventures and exploring new cities and destinations.

Originally from Syria, Majd spent most of his twenties working in Abu Dhabi for the National Health Insurance Company Daman, mostly in the IT Department. There, he valued the multicultural richness of the country and his job, gaining valuable experiences. Transitioning to his new chapter in Belgium, he appreciates the charming diversity of people in Brussels, which is also well represented at the ECF. It is a joy to come across all these cultures in one place, to create a precious network of friends and to fully connect with humanity.
