María joined the ECF in 2020. Within the International Energy Programme, she is the Programme Manager of Data into Action, building and developing a field of partners who pioneer applied, cutting-edge research on the energy transition based on relevant, objective, transparent, and timely data. She is thrilled to work on this project to incite the systemic change needed to decarbonise the energy sector and tackle climate change.
Prior to joining the Foundation, María was a consultant for the energy sector for five years, managing projects in North America, South America, and Northern Africa. She has seven years of additional experience working for local and national governments and think tanks.
María holds a BA in International Studies from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and an MPA in Energy and Environment from Columbia University. She is a Chevening and Fulbright alumna. Born and raised in Argentina, she lived in New York and Mexico City and speaks Spanish, English, French. María loves art and design, bikes, yoga, travels, and nature.
