Fayrouz El Matar joined the ECF Brussels office in 2020 as the Administrative Assistant of the Strategic Partnerships team. In this role, she supports her team by safekeeping and managing their schedules, preparing briefings for funder meetings, updating the ECF’s contact database and much more.
Prior to joining the ECF, she has worked as an Executive Assistant to multiple Directors and a Partner at Deloitte Belgium and as an Executive Assistant to the CEO at FCR Media. She also spent a year in New Zealand where she worked for the Ministry of Health, first as an Executive Assistant to the Public Health Group Manager, later for the New Zealand Covid-19 taskforce.
Fayrouz holds a BA in English and French and is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
Beyond her professional interests, she would describe herself as an avid reader who enjoys good food and listening to or playing music. She is passionate about travelling and experiencing as much of what this beautiful planet has to offer as possible. The latter is one of the many reasons why she is grateful to be a part of the ECF, an organization committed to tackling climate change and protecting our planet for future generations.
