Catherine Guinard

Cath joined the ECF in the autumn of 2024 on a one-year secondment from the Wellcome Trust. Based in London, she supports the Diplomacy team in preparing ECF for COP30 in Brazil, while also working on advocacy related to the EU’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Cath has over 20 years of experience in science and health policy and advocacy at the European level. For more than five years, she has focused on strengthening ties between the EU and the UK on health and research issues in the post-Brexit era. In recent years, she has worked to mobilize support within EU institutions for the intersection of climate and health.

She holds a master’s degree in European Affairs from King’s College London and Sciences Po Paris and speaks French, English, and some Italian. She lives in London with her two young children, Luc and Chloe.
