Adrián is an Associate for the International Climate Politics (ICP) Hub. His role is to ensure the implementation of ICP Hub’s strategy through its regranting portfolio, as well as to support the network of actors involved in the Hub and its growth.
Adrián has focused his career on climate policy, spanning government, the non-profit sector and academia, with a focus on international climate and the UNFCCC sphere. Prior to joining the ECF in June 2021, Adrián was based in London and worked for Climate Strategies, where he was involved in stakeholder engagement and dissemination processes for climate research projects. Before that, Adrián worked for the Ministry of Environment of Peru and was a member of the Peruvian COP21 Presidency negotiations team during the year leading to the adoption of the Paris Agreement.
He is committed to helping achieve actionable, global, fair and inclusive paths to address the climate crisis and to amplify the range of actors involved.
Adrián holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and a BA in Political Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He was also a fellow of the CIPSEM Environmental Management Programme (Dresden, Germany).
Coming from Peru, Adrián is a Spanish native speaker. He is also fluent in English and French, and is currently self-studying German. He enjoys reading, hiking and cooking.
