Beatriz is a Senior Associate for the EU Green Deal Diplomacy team. In this role, she is co-developing the ECF’s nascent strategy to leverage the European Union’s Green Deal internationally. This involves engaging with policymakers and other stakeholders in the EU’s partner countries such as the US, China, India, and countries in the African continent. Beatriz also manages grants with ECF partners globally, funding projects that contribute to the EU’s climate diplomacy objectives.
Prior to joining the ECF in 2021, Beatriz was the deputy head of the G7/G20 unit at the French Ministry of Finance. She has also worked for the UK Foreign Office, spending five years as the trade and investment counsellor at the UK Delegation to the OECD, as well as for the World Economic Forum in Geneva.
Beatriz graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds a MA in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also has a BSc in mathematics.
A native Spanish speaker, Beatriz is also fluent in French, Portuguese, and English thanks to her many experiences abroad. She enjoys playing music, drinking Australian coffee, and climbing mountains in her hometown León.
