About me

Claire joined the ECF in 2021 and is a Programme Manager with the Industry & Innovation Programme. She helps steer the programme’s strategy on steel decarbonisation, which aims to make fossil-free steel a competitive and commercial reality in Europe.

Before joining the ECF, Claire worked for Brussels-based public affairs consultancies where she advised clients on the EU’s environmental and chemical policies and helped sustainable frontrunners drive regulatory change. She’s also had EU affairs roles with various private, civil and public organisations including General Electric, Friends of Europe, and the European Commission.

Claire is originally from Canada and holds a Master’s in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
