Olivier works as Legal and Governance Officer and is based in The Hague.
Prior to joining the ECF, Olivier was based in Athens where he worked on legal and policy affairs for the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). He was primarily involved in the provision of horizontal legal support and advice on various legal and policy topics. Olivier previously completed a traineeship at the Asser Institute for International and European Law during which he contributed to legal advice and policy studies for inter alia the Dutch government and the European Parliament, and published articles and legal annotations related to environmental law.
Olivier holds an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in International Law from Maastricht University and a bachelor from University College Maastricht. During his studies, he worked in the EU decision-making unit of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht. Having grown up abroad, and participated in university exchanges in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Sweden, Olivier has an international outlook, and is an enthusiastic traveler. Olivier’s other personal interests include writing and long distance running.
