Hande Özüak

Based in Istanbul, Hande joined the ECF in 2016 and works as an Associate for the Türkiye programme. She works closely with grantees and partners and supports the Foundation’s strategy and grant-making in Türkiye.

Before joining the ECF, she has previous experience in various projects such as Project Expert for the Istanbul Finance Center Project with the Municipality of Istanbul and as Proposal and Contracts Specialist in Deloitte Türkiye.

Hande holds a Master in Science in Environmental Governance from the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg and a Bachelor in Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University. She speaks fluent English, has a good command of German and a basic knowledge of  Chinese.

Hande loves travelling the world and enjoys having picnics with friends and family at the seaside.
