Since May 2020, Britt Elvira is the Corporate Communication Assistant at the European Climate Foundation. In her role, she ensures that the ECF’s public identity reflects the organisation’s unique role in the field.
Prior to joining the ECF, Britt was a reporter at a Spanish newspaper and moved to Brussels in October 2019 for a traineeship at the NGO Human Rights Watch within the communications team.
Britt holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, and spent six months at Queens College CUNY in New York City. She is currently also following a Masters degree in Environmental Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy, while also collaborating with the communications team at the European Cultural Centre in Venice. She is a native Dutch speaker, fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and Italian, and has a basic understanding of French.
With a passion for the environment, Britt enjoys hiking and walking through the mountains and she is always happy to have a good Spanish novel in her hands.
