About me

Klara Sutlovicova works as a senior associate in Czechia for the Central Europe Programme.

Before joining the ECF in 2020, Klara gained over 15 years’ experience as a climate and energy policy expert in Czechia. Most recently, she also broadened her focus to development cooperation in the position of policy officer at FoRS, the Czech forum for development cooperation.

In her previous position, she managed the climate and energy programme of analytical centre Glopolis, an independent think-tank based in Prague. She also worked as policy officer and director of Centre for Transport and Energy, a non-governmental organisation, and as climate campaigner in Greenpeace Czechia. She focused on the implementation of the emissions trading scheme, energy policies and international climate negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Klara is author and co-author of various studies and publications and served as a board member of Czech Climate Coalition and Climate Action Network Europe.

Klara graduated in social and cultural ecology from Charles University in Prague.
