Valentine Venel

Valentine is a Senior Grants Officer at the ECF, which she joined in January 2021. Based in Paris, she supports the France, Spain and Italy programmes in their grant-awarding activities to build political will in their geographies.

Before joining the ECF, Valentine worked as a European Project Manager in the field of higher education. She studied applied languages and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

She is fluent in French, English, Italian, not bad in Spanish and speaks rusty Japanese. As a natural wanderer, Valentine is delighted to be working with a multi-cultural team. In her own time, she enjoys all kinds of sports, such as hiking, running and yoga, and especially handball.
