About me

Chendan is a Senior Associate for the Climate Finance program at the European Climate Foundation based in Brussels. Her work focuses on net zero alignment frameworks, climate impact data and methodologies for private financial institutions, as well as corporate climate disclosure and targets.

Prior to joining ECF, Chendan was a Research Associate at the World Resources Institute in Washington DC. There, she worked on the Science Based Targets initiative, a partnership that seeks to increase the private sector’s ambition to reduce GHG emissions. She co-led the development of several sector specific guidance for apparel and footwear companies, financial institutions, private equity firms, and most recently faith-based organizations. She conducted technical review of over 200 companies’ and financial institutions’ target submissions and developed numerous widely used knowledge products related to science-based GHG target setting.

Chendan received a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University in New Haven, CT.  She is from Shanghai, China and has studied and worked in the United States for 12 years before coming to Europe with her partner. She is part of a music duo performing jazz and atmospheric music and an avid home baker and cook. She currently lives in Antwerp, Belgium.
