The European Climate Foundation announced today the appointment of Stephen Brenninkmeijer as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the organisation. Stephen succeeds Caio Koch-Weser whose statutory mandate has come to an end. Kate Hampton and Jonathan Pershing, who are already serving on the ECF Board, have been appointed as Vice Chairs.

I’m greatly honoured to have been given the opportunity to serve as Chair of the Board of the European Climate Foundation. Over the last few years, the ECF has made great progress under the inspirational leadership of outgoing Chair Caio Koch-Weser. I aim to continue Caio’s enterprise in mitigating climate change across Europe, working with our outstanding ECF teams and forging strong links with our strategic partners across the globe.

Caio Koch-Weser, the outgoing Chair
It has been an enormous privilege to serve as CEO of an organisation with such a supportive, visionary Board and Chair. Caio has played a major role in helping lead the ECF through the first 10 years, and I look forward to working with Stephen in continuing this essential enterprise.
