Stephen Brenninkmeijer appointed as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Climate Foundation

December 10, 2018 – The European Climate Foundation announced today the appointment of Stephen Brenninkmeijer as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the organisation. Stephen succeeds Caio Koch-Weser whose statutory mandate has come to an end. Kate Hampton and Jonathan Pershing, who are already serving on the ECF Board, have been appointed as Vice Chairs.

Stephen Brenninkmeijer, the newly appointed Chair of the Board of the ECF, said:“I’m greatly honored to have been given the opportunity to serve as Chair of the Board of the European Climate Foundation.  Over the last few years the ECF has made great progress under the inspirational leadership of outgoing Chair Caio Koch-Weser.  I aim to continue Caio’s enterprise in mitigating climate change across Europe, working with our outstanding ECF teams and forging strong links with our strategic partners across the globe.”

Caio Koch-Weser, the outgoing Chair, said:“It has been my great joy and honor to serve on the ECF Supervisory Board almost since its inception. After two terms as Chair, I feel enormous satisfaction with all we have accomplished, making the ECF a leading player on the climate scene in Europe. I am delighted that Stephen has agreed to succeed me as chair of the Board and I wish him, and the outstanding ECF team every success.”
