Tomasz Terlecki leads the Central & South-East Europe Initiative and is a member of the ECF Strategic Council.
Prior to joining the ECF in 2008, Tomasz founded and served as Executive Director of the CEE Bankwatch Network, one of the largest advocacy NGOs from the new EU member states and a member of the Green 10. He also has worked with a broad range of environmental NGOs, from local think tanks through to international networks – including organisations such as the Global Greengrants Fund, the Institute for Environmental Economics, the Polish Ecological Club, the Environment Liaison Centre, and the Foundation for the Support of Ecological Initiatives.
Tomasz has extensive first-hand experience in international advocacy activities promoting sustainable development and social justice and over a decade of senior-level management experience in fundraising, financial management, capacity building, and organisational development.
Tomasz holds a degree in Physics from the Pedagogical University in Kraków.
He is fascinated with cultures and history, and travels a lot to explore what’s left of ancient civilisations and to better understand today’s world.
