Governance

The ECF is governed by a Supervisory Board that includes pre-eminent leaders in the field of climate change. The Supervisory Board is charged with overseeing all our activities and strategies, approving our grantmaking decisions, as well as defining our strategic direction. We hold four Board meetings and three Executive Committee meetings per year to discuss strategic issues and approve grants. In addition, the ECF is supported by an Advisory Council, a group of leaders who provide advice to our management and act as high-level ambassadors to facilitate the foundation’s collaboration with wider networks.
