Gian Luca Agliardi

Gian Luca joined the ECF in 2023 as a Senior Associate in the Industry and Innovation programme, based in Rome. His main goal is to develop partnerships for the decarbonisation of heavy industry in Italy.

Gian Luca holds a Master’s degree in energy engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan. His professional background includes five years in operations at a manufacturing company, during which he resided in Hungary and Germany. He furthered his education by obtaining an MBA from the WHU School of Management. Before joining the ECF, he served as a sustainability manager in both corporate and small-scale startup environments, with a focus on carbon accounting.

Gian Luca is an outdoor enthusiast, engaging in activities such as hiking, climbing, skiing, sailing, and kite surfing. He also has a passion for traveling in vintage cars and carrying out small but impactful volunteer initiatives.
