William Carlson

William Carlson is a Senior Impact Data Officer for the Learning & Impact team at the European Climate Foundation.

With a background in data analysis and strategic technology deployment, William specialises in harnessing data to drive decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of initiatives and campaigns. His role centres around collecting and processing impact data, crafting data tools, and applying advanced machine learning and visualisation techniques to unearth insights supporting programme and operational teams. He plays a key role in data strategy, linking data-driven projects across and outside the Foundation.

Before stepping into his role within the ECF, William was a communications and technology consultant, delivering technology strategies and solutions primarily for NGOs and non-profits in the environmental and academic sectors. His work has consistently reflected his commitment to leveraging technology for social good.

An avid outdoors enthusiast, William is passionate about hiking, camping, and backpacking.
