Boris Deraeve

Boris is the Compensation and Benefits Manager of the HR team at the ECF. He takes care of the employee’s reward practice and compliance with payroll and social legislation in the countries where the ECF is present. At the same time, he manages the compensation and benefits strategy of the organisation.

Prior to joining the ECF in early 2022, he gained 25 years+ of experience in local and international individual tax, social security and HR/compensation and benefits as a manager and director at the Big Four.

Having been in corporate life for most of his career, Boris decided to contribute his part towards a more sustainable society that aims to transit towards a net-zero emissions economy.

Boris holds a Master’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Tax Law. Next to this, he is a former guest lecturer at the Belgian Institute for Contemporary China Studies of the University of Brussels and at the Brussels Diplomatic Academy. He is a chartered tax consultant. Boris’ native language is Dutch, and he is fluent in English and in French.

Apart from being hooked on martial arts, running and strength training, Boris is fond of travelling and visiting his friends in different parts of the world.
