Morgan Després

Morgan Després is the Executive Director for international climate finance, land use and net zero macroeconomy. He is part of the wider ECF leadership team, and is in charge of supporting ECF’s work to achieve a “truly net zero” economy.

Morgan joined the ECF in July 2022 after 18 years working in the French official sector on financial stability and international and European financial regulation issues. He was notably the founding Head of the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), and is co-author of The Green Swan, central banking and financial stability in the age of climate change.

He holds a degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a MBA from the ESSEC Business School.

Morgan lives in Berlin with his Franco-German family where he can give free rein to his passion for contemporary European history.
