Xing Fu-Bertaux

Xing is the Director for Energy Diplomacy at the Pooled Fund on International Energy, which she joined in October 2021.

She has over a decade of experience working on climate, development, and energy issues. Prior to joining the ECF, Xing worked at the German Development Agency (GIZ) as a senior advisor to the German government in international climate negotiations on climate finance and led GIZ’s engagement with the Green Climate Fund. She also worked previously as a researcher on the renewable energy transition in the Caribbean. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris.

Originally from Shanghai, she has lived in Paris, Washington, D.C. and Berlin. She is a classical guitarist and a long-distance night train enthusiast.
