About me

Tanguy Giraud has worked in the ECF Land Use Programme since February 2022. His role focuses on the transition towards a sustainable agriculture and food system as well as on the protection and restoration of ecosystems in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss.

Tanguy grew up between the southern French countryside and Chamonix, in the French Alps, where he witnessed environmental degradation and the effects of climate change. Before joining the ECF, Tanguy had different experiences working in NGOs and in the French Parliament, notably on international development, environmental justice, and agriculture policies.

After earning a Bachelor’s in Law and Political Science, Tanguy graduated from Sciences Po Paris in International Public Management. Building on this multidisciplinary background, he believes in the need for systemic approaches to socio-environmental issues. When not in the office, Tanguy enjoys spending time in nature, hiking or climbing.
