Victoria Harris

Born in the UK, raised in the USA, and now living in the mountains of south-central France, Victoria has worked as a climate researcher and writer since 2015, including with E3G (Climate Briefing Service), Mission 2020, and Global Optimism. She began working with the ECF as an external consultant in 2019 before joining the diplomacy team as a diplomatic writer in 2023.

Victoria has a PhD in contemporary European history from the University of Cambridge, and went on to become a research fellow at King’s College Cambridge, where she drafted the college’s first environmental policy and served as its environmental officer, before leaving academia to pursue full-time climate work.

When not at her desk, Victoria can usually be found either in her garden or singing with her rock-cover band, The Dukeboxers
