Insa Holste

Insa is a Senior Associate at the ECF’s Buildings Programme, where she works on the local level heat transition as well as gas grid decommissioning.

Prior to joining the ECF in 2023, she worked at a social science research institute and the German central contact agency for development policy.

Insa is German, holds an MSc degree in Industrial Ecology from TU Delft and Leiden University, and is based in The Hague.

Insa speaks English, German, Dutch and a decent level of Spanish. If not at work, she tries to be outside as much as possible – preferably with friends, or else with a good book.
