Agnes Kelemen

Manager, South East Europe & Hungary Programme

About me

Agnes works as a Manager within the South East Europe team. Her main topics are the decarbonisation of the electricity sector, energy efficiency in buildings, and the modelling of decarbonisation pathways.

She has Master’s degrees in Economics from Corvinus University and in Environmental Policy from Central European University. She has worked on climate change for more than 20 years. Before joining the ECF in 2019, she worked as a consultant, mostly in the Western Balkans. She also worked as a policy officer for the European Commission on improving the climate performance of EU funding, and for the Hungarian public administration on implementing the EU ETS and following international climate negotiations.

She finds animals fascinating, enjoys hiking and train travel, likes to sing karaoke with her friends and to spend time with family.
