About me

Samuel Leré is a Senior Associate in the ECF Trade Programme, supporting a network of grantees and partners help reform trade rules in support of the ecological transition.

Samuel started his professional career in an NGO following the COP21 negotiations. He spent six years at the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, where he coordinated policy advocacy and helped create the foundation’s trade programme. He has also co-authored a book on the subject, “Après le libre-échange. Quel commerce international face aux défis écologiques”.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Jean Moulin Lyon 3. He is based in Paris and speaks French, English and Portuguese.

He loves to travel the roads of France to go to volleyball games or to participate in beach-volley tournaments.
