Sara Lickel

Sara Lickel works as a manager in the Land Use team. Her work focuses on the role ecosystems and nature play in climate policies. She coordinates work around negative emissions, bioenergy, and nature.

Prior to joining the ECF, Sara worked for various NGOs following international climate negotiations and the impacts of climate action on land, and later on framing trade policies to align with the ecological transformation at the EU level.

Sara is French and Polish, graduated from Sciences Po Paris and has lived in several European countries. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, cycling and climbing.
