Sara Lickel

Sara Lickel sits across the Land Use and International programmes. She coordinates the work around Bioenergy and works on International Climate Accountability, in order to avoid the deployment of false solutions that are harmful to people and the land and to ensure the integrity of climate targets.

Prior to joining the ECF, Sara worked for various NGOs following international climate negotiations and the impacts of climate action on land, and later on framing trade policies to be in line with the ecological transformation at the EU level.

Sara is French and Polish, she graduated from Sciences Po Paris and lived in several European countries. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, cycling or climbing.
