Alba Málaga Homs

Alba is the Strategic Communications Manager in the Climate Finance Programme and a member of the Citizen Engagement and Cultural Change portfolio.

Since joining the ECF in 2021, Alba has worked with many partners on political and communication campaigns to defend and strengthen EU policies on climate finance, corporate reporting and due diligence, while leading capacity-building initiatives for the climate communications community.

She has 15 years of experience, having worked in the corporate and NGO sectors. Prior to joining the ECF, Alba served as Corporate Communications Director at Kreab, where she advised private foundations and companies from the finance, legal, and pharmaceutical industries. Previously, Alba worked at the WWF European Policy Office on EU-wide campaigns. She started her professional career as a journalist.

Alba holds a Master’s in European Integration and a bachelor’s in journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She is a native Spanish and Catalan speaker, fluent in English and French.

Based in Brussels but travelling often to the Mediterranean coast, she enjoys spending time in nature with her family.
