About me
Olena Miskun joined the ECF as Ukraine Senior Associate in 2022. Despite the ongoing war, Ukraine already needs a plan for how to rebuild itself sustainably after its victory.
Before joining the ECF, Olena worked in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources as a head of the Department of Strategic Planning and International Relations. She coordinated Ukraine’s participation in the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (Espoo Convention).
Olena has an extensive NGO background of more than 15 years as she was working in the Center for Environmental Initiatives ‘Ecoaction’, where she was engaged in a campaign on industrial pollution and air quality.
For six years, Olena has been working in the team of the CEE Bankwatch Network. She worked with activists in the Caucasus and Central Asia as well as local communities in Ukraine.
In 2012, as a result of her campaign on the project Kyiv-Chop road rehabilitation in Ukraine by the EBRD, the bank picked up the topic of road safety as one of the priorities for further infrastructure projects.
Olena graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She likes dogs and skiing.
