Deborah Ramalope

Deborah is the Director of ReNew2030, where she leads the initiative’s collaboration with regional climate foundations and global partners to advance the deployment of wind and solar energy.

Before joining the ECF, she headed climate policy work at Climate Analytics, a global science and policy institute. She also served in the South African government, where she led the climate change mitigation team. Earlier in her career, Deborah worked for an oil exploration and production company, giving her a broad perspective on energy transitions and climate strategy.

She holds a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) and a Master of Science in Environmental Management.
