About me

Trees Robijns is Programme Manager for the Land Use Programme based in the ECF’s Berlin office. In this role, she focuses mainly on reducing emissions from agriculture consumption and production, as well as coordinating the work of the ECF on bioenergy in the context of increasing Europe’s land use sink.

Prior to joining the ECF, Trees was already focusing on the topics of agriculture and bioenergy for NGOs NABU (Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union based in Germany) and BirdLife Europe as well as for the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Throughout this time, she worked extensively on the Common Agricultural Policy as well as the Renewable Energy Directive.

Trees graduated in Political Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and has an MA in International Relations and International Economics from The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Italy and the USA.

Originally from Belgium, she speaks Dutch, English, French and German. Trees has a passion for politics and how it influences our society and the planet we live on.
