Britt Elvira Ruitenberg

Britt Elvira is the Corporate Communication Associate at the European Climate Foundation, which she joined in May 2020.

In this role, she’s responsible for content strategy and development, creating impactful and engaging materials to communicate ECF’s work, while also coordinating communications for the organisation’s major events and webinars. Additionally, she supports the development and implementation of ECF’s internal communications strategy, fostering knowledge-sharing and building organisational culture.

Before joining ECF, Britt was a reporter for a Spanish newspaper, social media manager and content creator for the European Cultural Centre in Venice, and editor for Spain’s Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. She holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, with recognition in Humanities Studies, and a Master’s in Environmental Humanities from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice

A native speaker of Dutch, Catalan, and Spanish, Britt is also fluent in English and Italian, with a basic understanding of French. Passionate about the environment, she enjoys hiking and reading Spanish literature.
