Nimali Samarasinha

Nimali is a Programme Manager in the ECF’s Climate Governance Programme and a member of the Target True Zero campaign. Her work focuses on building out economy-wide progress monitoring capacity for Europe’s transition to net zero, and on enhancing government and civil society capacity for true-zero climate planning more widely.

Nimali comes to the role with a strong background in strategic communications, both at ECF and beyond. It is her passion to inject robust facts into the public and political narrative.

Originally from Germany, she passed her studies in the UK and has lived in Belgium for the past decade. When she’s not at her computer, she loves to venture out into nature with her children, play or listen to music, or get her hands dirty in a local urban gardening project.
