Shara Samra

Shara is an Associate in the UK Programme, supporting the UK climate community to ensure a fair transition to net zero emissions.

Prior to joining the ECF, Shara was a Senior Policy Adviser at the CBI (Confederation of British Industry), in the Decarbonisation team and worked on UK-EU trade. Shara has worked in not-for-profit organisations, including the UK National Commission for UNESCO and started her career as a graduate at Green Alliance, working for the Greener UK coalition. In her spare time, Shara loves reading, finding the best chocolate brownies in London and for balance, likes to do yoga and Pilates.

Shara holds a BA in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Consultancy.
