Margie van der Valk

Margie van der Valk is the Legal and Risk Management Director at the ECF and is based in The Hague. Margie handles a broad range of legal and governance matters within the ECF, ranging from contracting, legal compliance and risk management to supporting the governance of the Foundation and data protection.

Margie is an experienced international lawyer with a law firm and corporate background. She has always worked in an international multicultural environment, most recently at a renewable energy producer prior to joining the ECF. She holds a Master’s degree in both civil and tax law. Next to her professional commitments, she has been serving as a board member of two non-profit organizations in the field of culture and art. Margie speaks Dutch and English.
