Jodie Van Horn

Jodie Van Horn is a Strategic Communications Director at the ECF, leading a team that delivers strategies and grant-making focussed on growing public support for climate action.

She has 20 years of experience in winning policies, shaping narratives and advancing environmental and social change with non-profit organisations and impact-driven businesses. Previously, she led public engagement campaigns for global philanthropies, like the LEGO Foundation, and ran a communications team that accompanies Indigenous Peoples in defence of the Amazon rainforest. At the Sierra Club, she built the largest grassroots campaign in the United States to successfully advocate for 100% clean energy policy commitments from more than 150 cities and seven states.

Jodie and her husband built a passive solar home in Spain, where she lives and adventures by bike and camper van.
