Maciej Wereszczynski

Maciej is Senior Associate, Poland, at the European Climate Foundation, working across the Land Use and Transport programmes. He designs and manages grant-making strategies that connect climate policy, nature, agrifood systems and the transition to cleaner mobility.

He has over eight years of experience across philanthropy, UNDP, Polish civil society and climate movement-building, combining policy analysis, stakeholder facilitation and practical programme design. Holds a Master’s degrees in Economics and Environmental Protection, completed postgraduate studies in agriculture, and is a PhD candidate at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is also a certified facilitator.

Outside work, he can often be found growing things, either at Warsaw’s community farm MOST or, more experimentally, in the Baltic Sea.
