Chan Yang

Chan Yang leads the global steel and industry portfolio at the Pooled fund on International Energy, hosted by the European Climate Foundation. In this role, she collaborates closely with philanthropic foundations, institutions, and partner organisations worldwide to develop high-impact strategies and interventions. 

Chan has over a decade of experience in international affairs, digital technology and climate working at intergovernmental organisations, think tanks, start-ups, and philanthropy. Prior to joining the ECF, she served as a global relations strategist at the OECD, creating and overseeing partnerships with key emerging economies, particularly focusing on China. She also co-founded a FinTech solution venture and assisted early-stage start-ups in technology-enhanced integrity and community empowerment. She holds a Master’s in economics from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s in management science from Fudan University.
