Chan Yang co-leads the global steel portfolio at the European Climate Foundation. In this role, she collaborates closely with philanthropic foundations, institutions, and partner organisations worldwide to develop high-impact strategies and interventions.
Chan has over a decade of experience in international affairs, digital technology and climate working at intergovernmental organisations, think tanks, start-ups, and philanthropy. Prior to joining the ECF, she served as a global relations strategist at the OECD, creating and overseeing partnerships with key emerging economies, particularly focusing on China. She also co-founded a FinTech solution venture and assisted early-stage start-ups in technology-enhanced integrity and community empowerment. She holds a Master’s in economics from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s in management science from Fudan University.
