About me

Tom Evans is a Senior Associate working on International Taxation, specifically in the Global Solidarity Levies Task Force Secretariat, based in London. He specialises in political strategy, diplomatic outreach, and civil society engagement.

Before joining the Secretariat, Tom served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics programme at the climate change think tank E3G. At E3G, he led the organisation’s work at the UNFCCC, advising governments and shaping global political strategy from COP26 to COP29. He also contributed to multilateral fora such as the G7, G20, and UN General Assembly. In 2024, he was recognised as one of the 100 key figures in international climate policy by Climate.Table.

Earlier in his career, Tom worked as a researcher on international climate change policy for a UK Labour Party Shadow Secretary of State. He holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
