About me

Simona is the funder relationships manager at the European Climate Foundation and is responsible for stewardship and managing relationships with existing funders.

She is an experienced philanthropy leader with an 18+ years’ career in fundraising in the NGO and the higher education sectors. Passionate about leveraging philanthropy to address and improve social issues, Simona has managed and developed relationships with philanthropic partners interested in areas spanning from human rights to health. She has also held roles at Human Rights Watch, Liberty, the NSPCC, King’s College London and University College London; and held consultancy roles with Italian universities and NGOs.

Originally from Italy, Simona has a degree in political science from the Università Orientale, Napoli, an MSc in human rights from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), and a PGCert in philanthropic studies from the University of Kent.

Simona lives in London with her daughter and husband and is currently on a mission to regain fluency in French and Spanish.
