About me

Klara Sutlovicova works as a Manager in Czechia for the Central Europe Programme.

Before joining the ECF in 2020, Klara gained over 15 years of experience as a climate and energy policy expert in Czechia. Most recently, she also broadened her focus to development cooperation as a policy officer at FoRS, the Czech Forum for Development Cooperation.

In her previous position, she managed the climate and energy programme of the analytical centre Glopolis, an independent think-tank based in Prague. She also worked as a policy officer and director of the Centre for Transport and Energy, a non-governmental organisation, and as a climate campaigner at Greenpeace Czechia. She focused on implementing the emissions trading scheme, energy policies and international climate negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Klara is the author and co-author of various studies and publications and served as a board member of the Czech Climate Coalition and Climate Action Network Europe.

Klara graduated in social and cultural ecology from Charles University in Prague.
