The PowerUp Academy for Climate Communications

Europe’s transition to a modern, renewable energy system is well underway, but we are not moving fast enough, nor working at the necessary scale, to meet the commitments made in the Paris Climate Agreement.

To accelerate the energy transition, we need to be able to communicate what it means for communities around Europe. ECF grantees and partners are already working to tell this story every day, but opportunities for professional development and network building for people working in communications have been limited until now. The PowerUp Academy aims to change this.

The PowerUp Academy is an ongoing initiative with three main pillars: skills modules, in-person training camps and mentoring programmes. Participants have the opportunity to develop their confidence and ability in key skills, join networks of communications professionals working on energy issues, and develop personally and professionally through a bespoke mentoring programme.

Take a look below for an overview of recent sessions we’ve organised, along with access to key resources. If you’re interested, follow us on LinkedIn or reach out to your ECF contact to get involved or learn more.
