2013 annual report

09.04.2014

The 2013 annual report provides an overview of the ECF’s important, complex work and highlights the significant contributions made by our three sector programmes (transport, energy efficiency, and power), the impact we are having at both the European Union and Member-State level, and our increasing emphasis on initiatives that cut across traditional venues in order to address long-standing barriers to change.

2013 was an intense year for the ECF, with major decisions on the political agenda that define Europe’s ambitions for climate change mitigation for many years to come. Bright spots included the adoption of ambitious fuel efficiency standards for cars and energy-saving product standards for boilers and heaters, and progress towards the effective integration of electricity markets and grids across the continent.
